Take a peak at this above cover of "Portraits of the Mind: Visualizing the Brain from Antiquity to the 21st Century" by Carl Schoonover

This book is is filled with brilliantly vivid full sized images and essays from scientists on the topic.  This looks like the most intriguing non-fiction I have seen in the while.     Perhaps it is because of the sheer beauty of it, or maybe it's because it is really about some interesting stuff- our minds, which most people tend to forget are inherently different than our brains.  This could be an interesting read, it's definitely an interesting topic.

Read the New York Times review

I "stumbled upon" this expert from "The Salmon of Doubt: Hitchhiking the Galaxy one Last Time" by Douglas Adams today and thought it was pretty amusing.   See below:

Just happened to come across Modern Library's 100 Best Novels list.  Here's the link for those who haven't already seen it.    What do you think?  Agree Disagree? Couldn't help to notice that LOTR (for all the readers who aren't nerds that stands for Lord of The Rings) was number four on the reader's top 100.  I have to admit I was pretty happy with that decision along with the decision to include On the Road on both fiction lists!

 Also:
I  saw this link on Emmett Stinson's blog today, and well this book definetly looks one of a kind.  Check it out here.
